AS Level (Y12)

• Unit 1: Depth Study (e.g., France in Revolution, Russia in Revolution)
• Unit 2: Breadth Study with Interpretations (e.g., Origins and Course of the French Revolution, Mao’s China)

A2 Level (Y13)

• Unit 3: Themes in Breadth with Aspects in Depth (e.g., Civil Rights and Race Relations in the USA)
• Unit 4: Independent Historical Enquiry (Coursework: 3,000–4,000 words)
